Acne Facts

  • Acne occurs when the pores of the skin become clogged with oil, dead skin cells, and bacteria.

  • Around 80% of 11 to 30-year-olds are affected by acne.

  •   Acne develops on face (99%), neck, chest, back and shoulders, which are skin areas  with the largest number of functional sebaceous glands.

  •   90% of people who seek treatment for acne will show a limited 50% improvement in their symptoms after 3 months.
