Brigitte Onteniente, PhD
Founder & CEO

Brigitte, PhD, is Phenocell's founder and an internationally recognized expert for brain plasticity, stroke and stem cell therapy. After receiving her Doctorate in the University of Montpellier, she completed a post-doctoral fellowship in the Anatomy Department of Shiga Medical School, in Japan, before entering Inserm in Bordeaux. She joined I-Stem in 2009 to coordinate the European program STEMS. In 2013 she took the challenge to leave academia for entrepreneurship with Phenocell's creation and performed the same year Challenge+ management and business training in HEC.

Julien, PhD, Chief Scientific Officer & shareholder, graduated from the AgroParisTech engineering school and has over 15 years of experience in stem cell research. After having completed its PhD in developmental biology in a Sino-French joint laboratory (INRA, Jouy en Josas / Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing), he joined the Wilmer Eye Institute (Johns Hopkins University, USA) for several years. During this time, he specialized in pluripotent stem cell differentiation toward retinal models, cell based high throughput screening and drug discovery.

Hélène Leménager
Research Scientist

Hélène, PhD, is graduated from Paul Sabatier Toulouse III University. After having completed its PhD in cell physiology about stem cell differentiation, she specialized about adipose tissue biology in its host laboratory during a post-doctoral contract. She joined Phenocell in 2021 as a research scientist to manage R&D skin projects.

Research Engineer

Adrien is graduated from Pierre & Marie Curie University, Paris. He has been a research engineer specialized in iPS cells since 2017. In Phenocell, he is in charge of iPSC platform, and RPE research and development.

Research Engineer

Valentin is graduted from the Sup'Biotech engineering school, Paris. He has been a research engineer specialized in iPS cells since 2018. In Phenocell, he manages all the projects related to dermocosmetics and tissue engineering.
